Southern Tutors is once again supporting SurreyASG's free health check event!
On Wednesday 23rd November, between 10am-1pm, Surrey Arrhythmia Support Group (SurreyASG) in conjunction with staff from the Cardiology department at Epsom Hospital and Surrey Downs CCG will be holding another ECG health check event in the Ashley Centre, Epsom.
SurreyASG’s Medical Lead, Dr Abhay Bajpai is a Consultant Cardiologist/ Electrophysiologist, who works at both St George’s Hospital, where he does ablation, and Epsom Hospital and he will be overseeing the ECG and will be available to members of the public to ask any questions that they may have about their ECG result. There will also be community nurses taking the blood pressures of members of the public.
Jane Race, Co- Chair and Public Lead of SurreyASG, says ’This is a fantastic opportunity for the public to have a quick and painless ECG reading and check their blood pressure using the latest technology supplied by Technomed, before doing their Christmas shopping in the Ashley Centre! This is the fourth of these events that SurreyASG have held and they have been extremely successful. We are hoping that by providing this service, we can prevent strokes, and raise awareness during Atrial Fibrillation week. If you would like to benefit from this free health check, please come early, as we always get very busy!’
